In the morning, we depart from Bern and travel by car to Zermatt, a car-free mountain resort where only electric carts and trains are allowed for transportation. It's a world-class ski resort and a renowned hiking destination with well-established trails. From there, you can see the majestic Matterhorn, the king of the mountains, a proud symbol of Switzerland. Its towering, triangular shape is a hallmark of the Alps, and at sunrise and sunset, its snow-capped peaks refract a metallic sheen, breathtakingly beautiful. After the visit, we will travel by car to Montreux.
[Thursday] Itinerary:
Bern → Tash → Zermatt (includes round-trip train tickets from Tash to Zermatt, 3.5 hours) → Matterhorn (optional scenic train ride to the Matterhorn viewpoint at your own expense) → Tash → Montreux

Departing from Montreux on this day, we'll travel to Geneva, strolling through Geneva's Old Town to soak in its historical atmosphere, and cruising the Lake Geneva region. We'll visit landmarks such as the Flower Clock and the Jet d'Eau, enjoying the stunning lakeside scenery of this international city. Afterwards, we'll head to Morges, a jewel on the shores of Lake Geneva. Lush pastures, traditional wooden houses, majestic mountains, and a magnificent river create a beautiful landscape. Returning to Montreux, we'll finally visit Chillon Castle (admission included), appreciating the unique architecture and historical significance of this lakeside castle and enjoying the Swiss lakeside scenery.

We'll travel from Montreux to Spiez, where sitting on the train feels like stepping into a flowing Swiss landscape painting. Upon arrival in Spiez, stroll through the town and soak in the tranquil lake and mountain scenery. Then, head to Lauterbrunnen to get a close look at the magnificent Staubach Falls, immersing yourself in the breathtaking atmosphere of the natural waterfall and mountain valley. Finally, travel to Zurich to conclude your trip.
